Yves Saint Laurent's red salon at Villa Oasis, his home in Marrakech, inspired this office and record library. With this came a rare kind of pressure: to match the boldness of a style icon, of clients with equally poetic taste, of the striking Pierre Frey upholstery on the walls, and the house's music history. Londubh met it by hand-painting across the ceiling medallion and beams, the pocket doors, wainscoting, fabric trim, and drawer faces, treating every surface as part of one continuous composition.
