OUR WORK

Londubh Studio specializes in site-specific installations, murals, decorative finishes, gilded and plastered surfaces, as well as wallcoverings and fabrics that transform architectural space into works of art. Each project begins in close collaboration with the client to shape a visual direction in response to the architecture, mood, history, and character of the space, then bring it to life through colour, texture, pattern, symbolism, and material expression. Created for luxury residences, boutique hospitality, commercial, and cultural spaces, every commission is one-of-a-kind, hand-crafted, highly personalized, and enduring. Depending on the needs of the project, the work is either carried out on site or developed in the studio for installation.

HOLLYWOOD, CA

A monumental gesture of optimism and unity, We Are the Hearts reimagines the heart as an architectural building block: a symbol of connection, resilience, and shared humanity. Painted across the vertical rise of a multi-story building, the bold geometric mural transforms the urban façade into a field of rhythm, colour, and human connection. Set against Hollywood’s palm-lined skyline, it holds both graphic clarity and emotional force. Here, love is not treated as sentiment, but as structure: something that supports, connects, and holds people together. Because love is not just an emotion. It is infrastructure.

TOM'S SHOES HQ | CULVER CITY, CA

Infused with dimensional depth and emotional clarity, Love serves as an anchor in this workspace, reminding all who enter that empathy is the foundation of collaboration. Hand-painted in layered, architectural geometry, the mural builds rhythm through mirrored forms and precise repetition. Reflecting both individuality and unity, it becomes a visual metaphor for teamwork rooted in compassion.

LOBBY MURAL AT THE ROW | DTLA, CA

Glamour meets geometry in Disco Biscuit, a custom mural designed to energize the lobby of The Row with bold form and intricate detail. Hand-painted with accents of metal leaf, the composition channels disco-era decadence through architectural rigour, repetition, and rhythm. Both playful and precise, it brings movement, luminosity, and a hit of mischief into the space.

DECO BISCUIT

OR BAR | WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA

Designed as both backdrop and statement, this custom Deco Biscuit mural wraps the exterior of Or Bar in a bold cadence of rhythm and shine. With its layered forms and retro-modern palette, the composition nods to the golden age of nightlife while asserting its place in West Hollywood’s contemporary cultural landscape. Hand-painted geometry gives the building movement, glamour, and unmistakable presence, turning the façade into a daytime beacon and an after-dark invitation.

Merging intricate Moroccan motifs with elements from the coniferous forest park across the street, this hand-painted floor brings global pattern into dialogue with the local landscape. Painted on reclaimed wood, the design blends Moroccan tile-inspired geometry with forest forms, echoing nearby carved architectural details. VENICE, CA

Set high above the streets of Venice, this rooftop installation transforms a private patio into a striking field of optical geometry. The custom-painted surface, bold in scale and precise in execution, evokes movement, reflection, and rhythm. Rendered in deep blue and white, the design draws from classical tile patterns and West Coast modernism. This open-air canvas merges architecture, contemporary art, and environment into a seamless visual experience.

THE DOORS OF YOUR WILDEST DREAMS

SAN FRANCISCO, CA

Created in collaboration with designer Nicole Hollis, this architectural installation draws inspiration from Yves Saint Laurent’s legendary home at Jardin Majorelle in Marrakech. With hand-painted adornment in custom-tinted colours and gold on a lacquered crimson base, the doors, ceiling medallion, wainscoting, fabric trim, and drawers create a vivid harmony with the intricately patterned fabric walls. The space becomes an immersive visual statement: layered, theatrical, and exacting, with traditional ornamentation reimagined through chromatic intensity, joyous precision, and contemporary symbolism that honours the neighbourhood and home’s rich history.

A bold exploration of symmetry, material, and form, these custom-designed doors create a striking focal point within the interiors of Jean-Georges Beverly Hills. Hand-painted and gilded in gold and silver leaf, the surface blends classical ornament with modern precision, merging decorative richness with architectural restraint. Framed by soft lighting and sculptural furnishings, the piece anchors the space with understated luxury. A refined threshold where custom art, interior architecture, and high-end design meet.

Crafted in collaboration with Vanessa Alexander Design Build, this custom plaster finish merges old-world texture with subtle modern luminosity. Gilded and gently distressed, the hand-applied surface catches light in nuanced, unexpected ways, shifting with the time of day and angle of view. Designed to bring depth, mood, and artisanal character to the bedroom’s serene architecture, the finish creates a tactile backdrop where atmosphere and elegance quietly align.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA

Created for designer Nicole Hollis and photographed by Douglas Friedman, this dreamy custom plaster finish brings quiet luminosity and depth to the home’s interiors. Built in multiple hand-applied layers, the surface is infused with mica chips and a pearlescent sheen, creating a soft, shifting glow that changes with the light. Designed as an understated foundation for the family’s art collection, the finish provides an atmospheric counterpoint to bold contemporary works, including the Yoshitomo Nara piece seen here. The result is a surface that feels both ethereal and grounded.

This hand-painted ceiling medallion transforms overhead space into a dramatic focal point. Adorned with jewel-toned pigments, metallic detailing, and precise geometric patterning, the design draws from Moorish architecture and cinematic storytelling. A carved central pendant anchors the composition, casting light and shadow across the surface like a living sculpture. A ceiling reimagined as a crown, ornamental, radiant, and unforgettable.

SHRINE OF ILLUMINATION

SAN FRANCISCO, CA

Designed as the crown of a shrine to playful, powerful women, this hand-painted and gilded ceiling transforms a private luxury dressing room into a place of wonder and reverence. Created in collaboration with Nicole Hollis and captured by Douglas Friedman, the design layers sacred geometry, sculpted texture, acrylic and fluorescent pigments, and shifting light across hand-applied gold leaf. Crafted in Londubh Studio on 26 individual panels and installed on site, the ceiling becomes an interior statement piece: a celebration of authenticity, beauty, strength, sensuality, and self-expression.

WATTLES MANSION | WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA

Originally created for Woodson & Rummerfield’s room at the Wattles Mansion Showcase, this hand-painted ceiling has become a permanent part of the historic estate. A composition of paint, glaze, and gold leaf, the design echoes the geometry of the space while bringing a bold, modern presence overhead. Preserved in situ, it is a rare instance of a showcase installation becoming part of the legacy it was created to honour: a contemporary gesture etched into a storied past.

CUSTOM COFFERED CEILING | SANTA MONICA, CA

Designed in collaboration with Scott Flax and Christine Markatos Design, this hand-finished ceiling elevates a classic architectural form with modern refinement. Layers of custom paint, translucent glaze, and 23-karat gold leaf create a subtle interplay of depth, colour, and sheen. Each coffer becomes a jewel box: structured, serene, and softly luminous. More than a ceiling, the work shapes the experience of the room.

A vessel of ritual and reflection, this hand-gilded tub transforms a functional form into an elemental work of art. Gold, copper, and aluminium leaf move across a deep black ground, creating a composition that suggests wings, water, and the charged stillness before motion. Inspired by the symmetry of birds in flight, the design radiates outward with elegance and precision, turning utility into ceremony.

Radiating love through pattern and pigment, Caritas is a hand-painted surface rooted in colour, light, and line. Inspired by sacred architecture and the symbolic language of compassion, the composition unfolds in jewel-toned heart motifs, ascending forms, and gilded detail. A luminous composition in gold, silver, and copper leaf, Wall of Feathers is a sculptural surface that evokes elegance and myth. Created in collaboration with Hunt Studios and custom gilded by Londubh Studio, the panel draws from the legend of Icarus, where ambition reaches toward transcendence. Each facet catches and shifts the light, suggesting a feather suspended between ascent and release. The piece is available in a range of custom finishes, either as an individual art panel or as a wall-mounted installation.

CUSTOM SCREEN | TEXTURED POLISHED PLASTER, 24KT GOLD LEAF, BLACKENED STEEL FRAME

PLUSH exists between sculpture and screen, commanding space while dividing it. Formed across four panels in custom textured polished plaster and veined with hand-applied 24kt gold leaf, its curving geometry holds tension between softness and structure. Framed in blackened steel, it brings privacy, pattern, and presence into a single, highly worked form.

CUSTOM DIVING BOARD PAINTED WITH CUSTOM-TINTED POOL PAINT

This hand-painted diving board turns a utilitarian object into a hit of poolside defiance. Painted with custom-tinted pool paint, it brings colour, movement, and attitude to a surface usually left blank. Durable, functional, and impossible to ignore, it proves that even the most practical object can become a place for art.

GOLDEN GLOBES ELEVATOR, 2020

SET DESIGN | CUSTOM TINTED & TEXTURED POLISHED PLASTER WITH 24KT GILDED DETAILS

Designed in collaboration with Nicole Hollis and captured by Douglas Friedman, this unforgettable elevator installation was created for the 2020 Golden Globes. Featuring hand-tinted cobalt textured plaster with gilded arabesque detailing, the set merges Old Hollywood glamour with contemporary swagger. It famously framed Snoop Dogg and Martha Stewart in one of the ceremony’s defining images, where luxury, celebrity, and mischief collided.

BE_YOND | IN COLLABORATION WITH NOMTEK

VIRTUAL REALITY EXPERIENCE

This collaboration between Londubh Studio and Nomtek in Poland was an immersive XR art and design experience that reimagined Londubh’s Cha Cha pattern as a virtual reality environment. Launched alongside the Meta Quest Pro, the project offered audiences a glimpse into how technology and spatial design can merge to create transformative experiences. In Be-Yond, pattern moved beyond surface to become space itself, turning rhythm and ornament into an atmosphere designed to restore and inspire.
