Set between beams of Shou Sugi ban wood, this custom textured plaster ceiling carries a pattern drawn from traditional Moroccan design, laid out to sit precisely with every beam and fixture around it. One overhead light could not slot inside that arrangement, and the fix called for more than a simple compromise. Londubh embraced the misalignment, adapting the pattern on one side to curve gently around it, and finished the gesture as a nod to the homeowners' love of the Grateful Dead. A line from the band said it best, tucked in as a surprise for whenever they happened to notice it: 'Once in a while you get shown the light in the strangest of places if you look at it right.'
