Once Team Nicole Hollis had finalised the design of this high-gloss lacquered dining room, Londubh was brought in to answer the question: what treatment could crown the ceiling without fighting the room's daring energy, fading into the background, or overshadowing Olafur Eliasson's chandelier. The answer was found in polished plaster, built up in layers until the surface held a low, gentle glow, letting it sit in quiet dialogue with the walls below. Settling on the precise hue of blue meant conducting in-depth colour studies until one landed nearly indistinguishable from its surroundings, maximally complementary rather than an exact match. What set the walls and ceiling apart was ultimately not shade but shimmer, a divergence born of technique rather than tone.
