For the dressing room ceiling, Nicole Hollis first envisioned a space with the finessed glamour of a luxury fashion boutique, drawing on the Moroccan themes woven throughout the home. As the concept evolved, it became clear that the room would speak most meaningfully to the client by also honouring icons of San Francisco's Haight Street, the very spirit that had drawn the family to this house to begin with. Hollis called for blacklight-activated fluorescent paints and gold leaf, and from there, the studio moved through an open creative exchange until arriving at the final design scheme.
